1. Narcissa Black did not care for Lucius Malfoy while they were at Hogwarts. She thought he was arrogant, lazy and domineering.

2. Narcissa Black grew up and learned that a certain amount of arrogance was attractive in a man who had reason to be so, that there was a difference between being lazy and unhurried, and that domineering could be turned to a lady's advantage if she liked dominant men.

3. Narcissa Black married Lucius Malfoy for love. She still thinks her husband can be arrogant and domineering, only now, she rather likes that about him. She also enjoys being the object of his unhurried manner. She is not oblivious to his faults, she does, however, find many of them endearing.

4. Narcissa Malfoy thinks the sun rises and sets for her son. She would do anything to keep Draco safe and almost anything to make him happy.

5. Narcissa Malfoy always wanted another child. She would have liked to have had a little girl, although another boy would also have made her happy.

Family History: Narcissa was raised in a family with the firm belief that blood and breeding was supreme. She has always questioned that belief, much as she does nearly everything she is told to be true, preferring to judge for herself. Keeping the family 'Toujours Pur' lead to her sister, Andromeda, being disowned. As a mother, she cannot imagine disowning her son for any reason, although she suspects Lucius might not agree. She simply wants her son happy. She would love any grandchild of hers and looks forward to having them someday. Narcissa's family, aside from the disowned Andromeda, were supporters of Lord Voldemort, although only Lucius, her sister Bella, Bella's husband Rodolphus and brother-in-law Rabastan, Uncle Orion and her cousin Regulus were Death Eaters.

Background

Role During the War: Lucius kept her out of the first war despite Bellatrix's endeavors to lead her into it.

During the second war, Narcissa was not a Death Eater by choice. She was marked at the same time as Draco, after Lucius failed to obtain the prophecy and was sent to Azkaban. She did everything she could to aid her husband and son, with protecting Draco her first priority.

She was only thinking of getting to Draco when she lied about Potter being dead, she is glad that it worked to her family's advantage. She was also had no intention of fighting unless it was in defense of Draco or Lucius. She was undisturbed by Bella's death. The sister she grew up with and loved was barely recognizable in the woman who fell under Molly Weasley's wand. Narcissa completely understood Molly. Had Bella fired an Avada Kadavra at Draco like she did Ginny Weasley, Narcissa would have done the same.

Narcissa was profoundly relieved that Harry Potter prevailed. She was beyond relieved to be done with the Dark Lord. She would have gladly slit his throat herself for what he did to her son and the way he treated her husband if she had thought it would have worked.

In the Past Year: Spent the year orchestrating repairs and erasing the stain of the Dark Lord's occupation of Malfoy Manor. She also worked to re-establish her family's reputation by supporting various charitable endeavors, speaking to women's and mother's groups, and being the public face of the Malfoys.

Future Plans: Intends to continue with her charitable and social groups to improve the Malfoy social standing. Narcissa truly does care about the social and charitable causes she supports. She enjoys the challenge of being out among society and presenting the perfect public face for the Malfoy family.
